BABY ROOM

Baby Room

6 weeks - 2 years
Staff ratio 1:3

Daily activities are planned by professional Nursery Practitioners in accordance with the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' framework. These activities are recorded and are available for you to view at any time. They include painting, sand and water, cooking, exploring with pasta (raw and cooked) baked bean play, gloop and many more. These activities promote hand eye co-ordination; fine motor skills and most importantly GREAT FUN!

Music and movement, songs, instruments and stories are enjoyed by children of all ages and promote gross motor skills as well as listening and repetitive memory skills.

Colour, sound, shape and texture are all new experiences, which need to be investigated and enjoyed and through treasure baskets and sensory activities these can be explored.

Sleep is essential for young children, therefore we have a separate quiet room that allows the children to sleep undisturbed as and when they need too.

We supply and launder all the cot/bed linen.

A large garden area with acres of land to explore ensures plenty of fresh country air and the opportunity to discover their natural environment. We also have prams and pushchairs that allow us to take the children out for walks around the village so they are able to enjoy the world around them. An outdoor covered soft play area encourages climbing and exploring large 3D shapes.

A diary is sent home daily containing the events of the day to encourage home input and continuity of care. The partnership with parents/carers and the role of your key person is vitally important especially with very young children as routines can change frequently.

Every child has a folder full of photographs and details of milestones and examples of nursery activities. Each child also has a 'key person' who will work in partnership with you to ensure your child's individual needs can be met.
